New Version 8.31 creates schematic views of existing physical and virtual circuit paths stored within Planet IRM’s database
Neptune, NJ – April 25, 2011 – Planet Associates Inc., the leading provider of Infrastructure Relationship Management (IRM) software and services for Enterprise Networks, has introduced iiSchematic™ functionality to enhance its ever-expanding feature set.
“We have been approached by many clients who were interested in a schematic capability and are very excited to include this feature as yet another offering in our product suite,” said William Spencer, President and CEO of Planet Associates. “The ability to present a simplistic diagram of any circuit allows customers to quickly comprehend those isolated details that are of critical importance so that appropriate actions can be taken swiftly when needed.”
iiSchematic circuit views are an extension to Planet’s intelligent infrastructure PDF (iiPDF™) functionality and can be designed and templated for any existing circuit within the repository, with criteria specific to a user’s needs. The schematic view displays the selected circuit via standard equipment and cable representations, with port and location designations. This view allows users to get a quick snapshot of the circuit without extraneous details, which may not be necessary at the moment. Along with the schematic drawing, the generated iiPDF includes a schedule of the Equipment and Cable tags with associated data defined by the template, as well as a summary asset schedule.
This latest release of Planet IRM also includes many enhancements to improve usability and expedite implementation processes.
